Your Second Visit to Our Arkansas City Practice

Dr. Wood giving a report of findings.

You will be greeted by the now familiar staff members. They will ask if you have any questions about your "homework" from the previous visit. At the Wood Chiropractic Clinic we strive to educate our patients in every aspect of Chiropractic so we take the "homework" pretty seriously.

Next you will watch a short DVD on what to expect when it comes to treatment. This presentation explains how your spine started to fail even before you knew it. Following the presentation, a Magazette of information will be given to you.  This is composed of your information -- exam findings, x-ray findings and information regarding the four big questions every patient asks "What is Wrong?" "Can You Fix It?" "How long will this take?" and "How much will it cost?"  Dr. Wood will talk about this information with you and discuss a treatment plan in order to get you the greatest benefit in the shortest amount of time. This usually takes about 10-15 minutes depending on how many questions you have for Dr. Wood.

If the treatment plan makes sense to you, then we begin your road to recovery with chiropractic care administered by Dr. Wood.  If therapy is recommended, then it is performed after the adjustment.

A pre-booking of your upcoming appointments will be scheduled with the available times most convenient for you. Your Fee schedule and insurance information will be discussed at the beginning of your next visit.

Dr. Jeff Asks some important questions of interest to Arkansas City residents - Chiropractor Arkansas City Dr. Jeff Asks...

What causes vertebral subluxations?
Chiropractors acknowledge three types of stress: physical, chemical and emotional. When the adaptive capacity of your body is compromised, weakened areas along the spine can become involved. Muscles tighten, spinal joints lock up and nearby nerves are affected. The purpose of chiropractic care is to find these areas and restore balance, alignment and motion.
How long does it take to form a bone spur?
Many who begin chiropractic care think their problem happened "last week when you bent over funny." But pictures of the spine tell a different story. Chiropractors know it can take your body years to deposit the calcium necessary to form a bone spur. It's your body's response to stress due to gravity or joint malfunction. And chiropractic care can help.
